No, they didn’t win anything – but I just needed an excuse to post this lovely picture of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords. I still love them even though they pretty much “phoned it in” when I saw them here in Chicago a few months ago.
Time Out magazine has a short interview with my favorite Kiwi Duo in anticipation of the premiere of Season Two of the HBO series in a couple of weeks. Not much to say here except that I really wanted to post this awesome picture of them.
Oh, and here’s the article.
Okay, I’ve been busy trying to catch up with work and stuff, so it’s just a little FoTC to tide ya over.
Oh, I love this one because it is spot-on all the island music you see in the Caribbean. Being is St. John a lot, I laughed like an idiot at this video as it looks and sounds like everything down there and the production values are about as good. Is there any genre the Conchords can’t do?
I know – I just can’t get enough Conchords.
They call me the Hip-hop-opotamus
My lyrics are bottomless…
I really just wanted a reason to post this awesome picture of Jemaine and Brett from HBO’s Flight of the Conchords. I guess since Jemaine got married over the weekend, that’s as good a reason as any. I have to admit, I am kind of bummed though – as Jemaine was kind of my Conchord… It’s kind of like when George Clooney has a girlfriend.
Oh, well – I guess I can be the bigger person. Congratulations, Jemaine!
A little FoTC for a HOT Friday afternoon!
Love is like a roll of tape
Real good for making two things one
But just like that roll of tape
Love sometimes breaks off before you’re done
Another way that love is similar to tape
That I’ve noticed
Is sometimes it’s hard to see the end…
I’ve said it before, but Flight of the Conchords is probably the most hilarious show ever. Besides Business Time, this is my second favorite song. Where else can you find a song about racism, smoothies, mangos, ATM fees and censorship all in one place?
P.S. I had to add Leggy Blonde, as it was the same episode.
” You know when I’m down to my socks, it’s time for business, that’s why they call ’em business socks OOOH!!
If you haven’t watched Flight of the Conchords on HBO, do yourself a favor and tune in. It’s brilliant, hilarious and like nothing else you’ve seen on TV. The songs stick in your head, too. I hope HBO signs them up for another season.
